Trade : Panels set on EU AD methodologies, Indian measures on steel (PRIV)

The WTO Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) on Monday agreed to establish two panels, one to examine measures imposed by the European Union related to price comparison methodologies in anti-dumping proceedings, and the other on certain measures imposed by India on imports of iron and steel products from Japan.

UPOV : Symposium reveals conflict in inter-relations between UPOV, ITPGRFA (PRIV)

The International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV) will consider suggestions for possible further action concerning inter-relations between the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) and UPOV, at its sessions this week.

Brazil : Dam causes too much or too little water in Amazon villages (PRIV)

The Juruna indigenous village of Miratu mourned the death of Jarliel twice: once on October 26, when he drowned in the Xingu River, and the second time when the sacred burial ground was flooded by an unexpected rise in the river that crosses Brazil's Amazon region.
