Trade : Argentina's desperate effort to avert failure of MC11 (PRIV)

In a desperate attempt to save its "South American" face, and despite a categorical NO from the United States to any outcome on domestic support at the upcoming World Trade Organization ministerial meeting in Buenos Aires (MC11), Argentina on Thursday (2 November) issued a draft ministerial decision for further consideration, trade envoys told SUNS.

Finance : OTC derivatives market rebounds to $542 trillion (PRIV)

The global market for over-the-counter (OTC) derivatives rebounded in the first half of this year, with the notional amount of outstanding contracts rising from $482 trillion at end-December 2016 to $542 trillion at end-June 2017, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has reported.
