Trade : AB rules partially against EU over Airbus subsidy compliance (PRIV)

The Appellate Body (AB) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) has affirmed that the European Union and four of its Member States (France, Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom) have failed t o comply with an earlier WTO panel ruling over measures related to the design and development of large civil aircraft (LCA) by the European aircraft manufact urer Airbus.

United Nations : Human Rights Council to meet 18 May over Gaza massacre (PRIV)

The UN Human Rights Council (HRC) is meeting in an extraordinary session on Friday, 18 May at 10 am to consider the deteriorating human rights situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, including East Jerusalem.

The forty-eighth session of the UNFCCC's Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA 48), adjourned its meeting on 10 May, after a two-week inter-session climat e talks in Bonn, Germany, and saw a lively exchange of views among Parties on a hos t of issues, including on emissions from fuels used for international aviation a nd maritime transport.
