Trade : US protects home market, wants more access from South for GSP (PRIV)

As the United States intensifies its trad e wars with China and several other countries, with its "America First" and using spurious and fraudulent "national security" grounds to protect domestic ind ustries, the Trump administration is simultaneously demanding enhanced market access from developing countries for granting them benefits of the generalized sys tem of preferences (GSP), trade envoys told SUNS.

The United States has announced its withdra wal from the UN Human Rights Council (HRC), accusing it of "chronic bias" again st Israel while being a protector of human rights abusers and claiming amongst others that the US call for reform has gone unheeded.
