China stood its ground against the United States at the WTO on Thursday (26 July) by telling Washington to set its ow n fiscal house in order by generating domestic savings to contain trade defic its, instead of blaming other countries.

The General Council of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) on Thursday decided to accept Kazakhstan's invitation to host the organisation's twelfth ministerial conference (MC12) in Astana in June 2020.
