India, South Africa, and Indonesia rejected the "Osaka Track" at the G20 leaders' summit held on 28-29 June in Osaka, Japan that sought to legitimize the informal Joint Statement Initiative (JSI) group's plurilateral negotiations on electronic commerce, participants told the SUNS.

South Africa and India along with four other developing countries have proposed an "inclusive approach to transparency and notification requirements in the WTO [World Trade Organization]", challenging the developed countries on whether they "comply with their notification requirements or do so selectively," trade envoys told the SUNS.
