Trade : US-China deal on verge of being finalized, says Trump (PRIV)

The United States President Donald Trump has indicated that Washington and Beijing are on the verge of finalizing an in-principle trade agreement that will roll back existing tariff rates on Chinese goods and not impose new tariffs on $160 billion of Chinese goods from Sunday (15 December).

Finance : Easing trade tensions spurs risk-on phase in global markets (PRIV)

An easing of trade tensions between the United States and China in mid-October triggered a risk-on phase in global financial markets, with equity prices reaching new highs in the United States in November, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) has said.

Climate : Efforts continue to bridge outstanding issues on final day of talks (PRIV)

The climate talks under the UNFCCC are scheduled to end on 13 December. However, judging from how far apart Parties still are on some of the major issues as of 12 December, many delegates and observers alike, expect a long drawn out night, that could spill over to Saturday, 14 December, before the talks come to an end.
