WTO : China initiates dispute against US over controversial IRA subsidies (PRIV)

China on 26 March launched dispute settlement proceedings against the United States at the World Trade Organiz ation over alleged "discriminatory" subsidies, including subsidies contingent upo n the purchase and use of goods from the US, under Washington's Inflation Reducti on Act (IRA) that allegedly violates the WTO's core provisions on national tre atment as well as most-favored-nation (MFN) treatment.

China appears to have scored a significan t victory against Australia at the World Trade Organization over Canberra's imposition of anti-dumping and countervailing duties on certain products fr om China.

WHO : North countries say they don't know the meaning of "solidarity" in INB 9 (PRIV)

Developed countries oppose "solidarity" as a princi ple for the implementation of pandemic prevention, preparedness and response du ring the first week of negotiations at the ongoing 9th meeting of the Intergover nmental Negotiating Body (INB9).

Textual proposals from developed nations, notably the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, Japan and Switzerland regarding the Pandemic Access and Benefit Sharing (PABS) system, exhibit a clear inclination to undermine the foundational principles of access and benefit-sharing established in the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and its Nagoya Protocol on Access and Benefit-sharing.
