Trade : WTO DG continues to promote controversial IFD Agreement (PRIV)

The World Trade Organization's Director-General, Ms Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, held a meeting with Latin America n countries on 8 April to drive home the message on intensifying work on fish eries subsidies, agriculture, and the proposed plurilateral Investment Facilitati on for Development (IFD) Agreement, said people familiar with the meeting.

WHO : Vice-chair proposes May 2026 deadline to conclude PABS negotiations (PRIV)

The Vice-Chair of the Bureau of the Intergovernmenta l Negotiating Body (INB), Dr. Viroj Tangcharoensathien of Thailand, has proposed a new time-line of May 2026 to conclude negotiations on a Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing (PABS) System.
